 A last minute submission, only took this yesterday (30 okt) and I really like this photo so I thought "why the hell not". The "model" is only 3 months old and she is lying on a sheepskin.

Bounced a 550ex up in the cealing, additional light 420ex slaved bounced into an umbrella and also used light from a window.

Probably not my "best" photo in October but I am new at this site and I wanted to participate in this challenge, who knows, maybe someone will give me some good advice in taking portraits.

Thanx for all the comments, I value those way more than ratings. Someone said that it was misspelled, well sorry bout that but english is only my third language after Icelandic and Swedish so I don´t really care that much but next time I will probably look it up in a dictionary if I am not 100% sure (wich I wasn´t)

Just to be clear though, this cute little girl is not my own, I was doing a shoot for the mother on some christmas cards and this was the best one IMO.

what big eyes you have - very effective use of the blur fot the face and sharpness for the eyes - someday you will look back and see that this baby looks exactly like the person she/he will grow up to be

This appeals to me so much since, as an artist, I could see this "translating" into a wonderful graphite sketch. I love the lighting, and really the only thing that I would be picky about is the extremely shallow dof - I would like to have been able to see more focus in the neck and shoulders.
