I am trying to begin. maybe with the corn. I'm thinking some robber baron Vanderbilt type commissioned this bust modelled on a wife/daughter/mother (did robber barons have lovers or just mistresses?} wanting desperately to connect with the first Europeans on the N. A. continent, how successfully they too stole from the earth, the culture... Or maybe I should go with the many but repetitively eyed stole, snatched by some fashionista designer from owl or South Park culture... Let us feast our eyes upon the ambitions of idiocy and give thanks that nothing much has changed.
