Photojournalism is often about getting the shot more than thw quality of the shot... It has to be that way since you can't "pose" reality. Unfortunately, in a photography contest that isn't oriented towards photojournalism the details become important... Like the partiall cut off person on the right, the book blockinf L.R.'s shoulder, the blurred head int he foreground. I understand why they are there, and would call this picture great for the newspaper, but not for a DPC challenge. You did capture a good expression though! |

I'm clueless who this is, but the foreground is distracting and the dark jacket(?) on the right hurts too... But that's just me, and what do I know :) |

5. If it wasn't for the title, this photo would simply fall under my idea of a snapshot. The foreground blurs are distracting and aside from the celebrity, there really isn't any appeal for me. |
