| Trish, I guess you think I've lost my mind -- which may be true. Colda sent me a photo of this same owl a few weeks ago, so I thought he had gone back to the zoo to photograph it for the OFS. That's why I asked if you were my friend is Switzerland. Now I know it wasn't colda's :) |

Beautiful photograph. The colors and contrasts are great and his eyes are stunning. It is so difficult to correctly expose for black & white - but you've managed it beautifully. My only suggestion would be to crop more off the right so his eyes sit on the rule of thirds (I know it's just a guideline, but I think it would have worked well here.) And, if possible under advanced editing (I'm not real sure) blurring the background would focus more attention on your wonderful subject.
Would this by chance be my new friend in Switzerland? ;-) Hope you're scoring well. |

| Maybe a tighter crop would zoom in on the head more. I like the white contrast with his ground. |

| This is a nicley exposed owl. I think it would of benefitted from a tighter crop on the right side. The owl would no longer be looking out of the photo. Good job to with focus on the eyes. |
