Carly, this is everybody.
Say hello!!


Carly Ann arrived on July 18th! She was 5 lbs. and 15 oz. :)

She is now 11 weeks old and finally starting to sleep through the night. I thought that would never come! Haha!

Sometimes I still cannot believe she is here. Those 9 months felt like they dragged by, but when I look back now, they flew. Occasionally Jason and I will just look at each other and say "......We have a BABY." Having her has changed our lives in ways we never imagined, both good and hard. It has definitely not all been sunshine and roses, haha! :) We do love her though and are happy to watch her grow, which she has done so much of in the last 11 weeks. She has recently started smiling! That makes my heart so happy.

Someone recently told me that with a baby, the days are long but the years are short, so I am trying to soak up what I can, since I know that time tends to fly when you least expect it.

Thanks for all the kind comments and votes. I know I am biased but I think she is the cutest thing I have ever seen. ;) Here are some other recent shots. This girl is going to have to get used to having a mom photographer! :)

Oh boy.... cute pics, and lovely story.
As a mother of two girls myself, your middle paragraph had me smiling and nodding with every single word. No doubt, countless parents will read this and totally "get you". Mind you.... sleeping through at 11 weeks??? Wow..... you are spoiled! I had to wait 10.5 months!!!!!

I feel compelled to add my ten cents worth: just when you are sick to death of a certain problem and you're hoping for it to be all over very soon, here is my good/bad advice: it doesn't ever get better, it just changes. Yes, you WILL get over one problem, but it will be replaced by another one.

My girls are now 24 and 21 years old, and yet I STILL worry and have problems with them. Dang it, I guess it will NEVER end. Parenthood, apparently, is a life sentence of love/hate (or at least of love/problems).

Work on loving as much of it as you can. It is here to stay.

Congrats on the ribbon. The photo is gorgeous (as are the subjects). Thanks for sharing the extra shots. Carly Ann certainly is a cutie. Btw, sleeping all night at 11 weeks is wonderful. What a considerate little girl!

Wow, I really like your composition. Mom's face draws my eyes to her eyes. From there I move left to her hair with a short drop to the baby's face. Then down to Mom's shoulder to her hair, then up the hair and back to where I started at her eyes.

A lovely composition, well lit. The mothers face is too much processed for my taste - it's just too flawless to be natural. If this happens to be the real skin without retouching then I'm envious about that perfect texture!!!
