Taken outside with natural light only and a white fabric bg. Pretty simple post-production work: cloned out one spot on dad's face; levels, contrast and slight desaturation, plus a few handmade adjustments on the levels layer.

Overexposed (with the levels layer) on purpose for effect. One may or may not like it. I do! :o)

GREAT lighting! Great dynamic image. The expressions on their faces are natural and engaging. Very sharp. The guy's sweater is a bit overexposed, however. That's the only complaint I have.

Unbelievable. This pictures captures such a perfect candid moment that it almost seems too good to be true. The expression on both faces is priceless. The implied emotional connection between the subjects is so strong. The slightly high key exposure works beautifully. One of my favorites, even after voting on all 480 bizallion other images....

Great moment and beautifully captured emotion. Love the simple white background. It is a bit high-key photo which makes their skin a bit yellowish (could be easily fixed with colour balance). It is nice and sharp. A family keeper!

Such a happy shot.
Timing was superb on this. Emotions are genuine and in my book, natural human element images such as this, are a pleasure to see in this challenge.

this is a great picture, full of humour and life. the pose feels very genuine and natural. the brightness of the image also works strikingly well. i can't comment too much on this because it's great, and i can't think of a single way to improve it. a lovely, sweet, family shot. hopefully will finish in the top 10. gets an easy 10 from me, anyway.

"Darling" capture. Maybe Papa needed to select another color for his sweater; it washed out against the backdrop

I love the emotion that has been captured here. The composition works well as does the background to force you to focus on the people. Excellent colors and details. Good luck in the challenge!

Though I wish the gentleman had on something other than white (makes the shot feel a bit unbalanced to me), this is a most adorable shot. The looks on their faces is wonderful, and the lighting and composition for this is great.
