 Lens: Fotasy 35mm f1.7 CCTV C-mount + 5mm macro tube extension.

These toys are actually from my childhood. They are Fisher Price brand toys, hence the name.

I set these up in my backyard and took a number of shots. It was very difficult to get all the face into focus. And it didn't help that these particular faces weren't very sharp even when observed up close and in person. Also, I had allot of trouble dealing with the reflective nature of the artificial plastic skin.

As for post, I simply did a little cropping, sharpened the whole picture a bit, and then let the software auto balance the colors. I also had to do quite a bit of cloning to help reduce the amount of wear and tear and permanent marker scars my brother and I inflicted over the years.

An interesting image that does not meet the challenge fully.

I find the idea that you still have your childhood toys quite appealing and your crop has enabled you to fill most but not all of the frame and the areas where you are not filling the frame are more detrimental than beneficial to the image. The bokeh whilst normally desirable in this instance is quite distracting given the nature of the challenge but the worst area is that on the right which has no place in the context of this image. I think a square crop of the figures on the left would have worked much better than this it would have filled the frame more effectively without any of the aforementioned distractions.

Perhaps a little -EC would have improved the exposure in reducing the highlights and also saturating the colours more, though the pastel shades are themselves quite attractive.

I think better lighting & increased contrast would have helped these guys!
Also, not sure about the background here, particularly on the right
Dirt or wear (tan shirt in the middle) is distracting.
