| I had an unexpected reaction to this, as I see the old hand holding the younger one down in a gesture of surrender, like they were arm-wrestling & the younger arm lost. It's probably because of my uneasy relationship with my mother. But then there's that BW grittiness. It would've been a completely different feeling if the older hand was on the bottom, palm up. Anyway... |

| Black and white is a good choice. The graininess of the hands seems at odds with the noticeably less grainy sleeve in the lower part. And there's an odd too sharp line where the lower hand meets the background (on the left edge where the palm meets the wrist. |
