Challenge: October Free Study (Advanced Editing II)
Camera: Olympus E-10
Location: Altamont Hills/Tracy, CA
Date: Oct 26, 2004
Aperture: f:4
ISO: 80
Shutter: 1/40
Galleries: Landscape, Rural
Date Uploaded: Oct 30, 2004

Late afternoon in the Altamont Hills west of Tracy, Ca. This view of California's central valley can only be justified with a panoramic image. I chose this third for my October's best.
Taken at f:4 and 1/40 from my trusty Gitzo Studex Performance tripod. Enjoy

This is one of those shots that just doesn't deserve to be shrunk to 640 by whatever. Too much detail is lost in the shrinking...

These hills look nice and interesting but its too big black shade in front.

Great subject, but cropping most of the dark foreground would really help.

There's a lot of energy in this photo (get it hehehe) :-)
Beautifull landscape with or without the mills.

Too bad that shadow is so overpowering. Would have been nice to see this with the sun higher in the sky.
