It IS a Sumac plant. Different from Poison Sumac, this one grows on small tree-like bushes and color changes are radical after first frost. Leaves generally fall off soon after their unnatural brillance flourishes. I used to live in Ohio and have a few shots like this. |

This picture is awesome! The colors are great and the angle you chose makes it look at first glance like a piece of abstract art! Love iT! |

Great job! I think it's funny that people thought you faked the color. Of course who would think that this sort of display could be natural. I cannot believe that anyone gave you scores under a 5. I am very proud of you. |

Good mix of colors, and well composed. Sharpened a little too much but still a good photo. |

I'm guessing you adjusted the hues to get the bizarre look - doesn't look natural to me.
Edit: Thanks for the PM. Sorry about my assumption, but I've never seen a tree/bush that changes like this. I'm curious what kind it is and where it was found. It's very strange but pretty. I bumped your score up to an 8. |

Elegant, striking and artful. I particularly like the abstract quality of this shot, which on closer inspection reveals itself as simply a plant. I've never been a great fan orf borders but this one definitely helps. This is a phot about the wondrous colour and pattern in nature. Well done. 9 |

Sumak! A great plant for color. I like that yours are all in focus so we can see all the color blends in sharp focus. Very fine. |

Incredible photo. So many colors. It looks like a rainbow. But let me tell you one thing: that isn´t Mother Nature´s palette, it´s Jehovah´s. Anyway, I like the photo and I give you 7 points. |
