 Sometimes my Leica produces some magic. Here I shot blind from the hip, wide open with my vintage 50mm f/1.4 Nikkor. No skin smoothing or anything, a very light edit indeed. The smoothness is caused by veiling flare.

Wonderful portrait. I sense deep character and sensitivity in this young man - I hope that's so. Its soft quality is affecting. I love the bright light spilling over his shoulder.
