 Look! The tadpole's tail is still there dragging out the back! He was in my pool today. SO adorable!

Jack (the dog) usually stays far away from frogs and toads in the yard... I've fussed at him so much for chasing them many times.

He was actually curious and cautious... making sure that I DEFINITELY was asking him to get close and look at the wonderous creature. Ha!

Wow. What a score! I've been watching it all week, of course. So much fun!

Earlier this evening (of rollover) it was 7.95xx.

Even though I'm used to the last-minute lower voters, it still surprises me how they affect scores.

Don't get me wrong... I've been on Cloud Nine all week!! What a magnificent score for a ... Mediocre image.

I almost didn't enter it.




I'm SO glad I did!! Ha!

After Voting: I have NO idea why this image scored as high as it did. I like it... but even I don't think it's a great photograph.

What I DO think it is is... a 'feel good' image. And, I think it fits the challenge topic very well.

I'm sorry for the high score... (ok... only sort of! But... I am REALLY sorry for the stress and hoopla the score caused). I appreciate all of your discussion about it... I agree. It makes no sense.

Yet, I didn't cheat. No one except my immediate family saw the image before voting was over (and they don't vote).

What an adorable portrait of this curious dog exploring his world. The frog looks a little exasperated - i.e. "Sigh, not the sniffer again" Grats on the blue Lydia!!!
