Ok so I've gone and titled this pic in all caps, spaced out, which I normally despise. Ah well.
Setup was in kitchen, using the flash bounced off of the white side of the reflector. Had to go that route as the ambient light I used most of the time was switching between sun and cloudy every few minutes, throwing the WB off.
Julienned carrots with a Veggetti, atop basic spring salad mix. Originially was going to leave the new potatoes whole, but they looked so clumpy that I smashed them instead. The steak is a local grass-fed one so much leaner than what most are used to. Melted some butter atop it for the sheen.
Sadly, when I bought the steak I didn't check the expiry date on it...so it was a little on the just-gone-off side when I cooked it. Ugh. But then, it was my fault for not having shot sooner. Still, it worked well as a model, though I didn't eat it afterwards like I usually do!
pp is basic snaffles stuff...brightness/contrast, vibrance/saturation, NIK noise reduction and a pass with the Colour Efex that looked least likely to muck up the colours, then resize, sharpen, and fade sharpen to 10% so it didn't look overdone. |
