 Two images...

My son... and a toad.

Nobody here at my house actually looks like this.


Nobody here at my house actually likes this either. *sigh*

They say it looks weird... not real.

I'm like... "It's an ALIEN!!"


*rolleyes*

I do know what they're saying though... they want it to look like a photograph... not a painting. I agree. But... I don't have that talent within me at present. *sigh*

Anyway... perhaps a voter or two will like it.

I like it a bunch.


But, that's most likely due to the fact that I've spent an entire BILLION days of working on one image... and I HAVE to love it or I feel like a failure in life.

Ha.

Eek. It's about six hours until rollover and I'm wanting to add a background to give it... "story"... instead of just a portrait.

Not gonna happen.

Nicely done! The outlined left forearm COULD have been due to his hirsute nature but looked like an artistic moment!

Very creative Lydia, congratulations - not sure how often you can rope in your family to model for you if their portraits come out looking like this :-) - or perhaps the ribbon helps :-). Well done, gazillion hours paid off

Using the skin of a toad to create these bumps on your alien was pure genius. I love this idea, it works perfectly! Your choice of colors is also beautiful. Congratulations on the ribbon!
