 There is a lot of water run off this year compared to other years. More snow and almost daily rain the last few months. In the creek there are lots of rocks. I searched for the just right place to focus the frame. I have to give credit to Ursulafor the inspiration for this image. She creates magnificent flowing water images so I thought I would try to emulate her work. Looks like I succeeded in some sort of fashion I guess.

In the field, I set my white balance to 2800k. I used a stable tripod, 70-200 lens with the 1.4 extender. I also used my Lee filter kit to help control the bright areas of the image. The kit mounts to the front of the lens and you can stack up to 3 filters in it. I have soft edge ND filters, so I spent some time getting those in the right positions. Then it was just start taking pics with various settings until I got the affect I was going for.

Well, this was my choice for the blue, which would have been quite fitting, LOL. I actually thought this might have *been* Ursula's, so I'd say you did a great job!

Love the feeling of this - live tumultuous action of the sea crashing around you. Its also beautiful as a composition that is fluid as well as "liquid". A striking photo. 8

Surely a ribbon contender! I love this type of image, looks simple yet complex, has movement and sharpness.

Looks like a wave but it could be anything and that's part of the beauty for me.
