 1st time shooting droplets with serious intent. Bought some eye droppers, some half and half cream and some food coloring, set up in the kitchen (easier clean-up), and started trying to time those drops! I only have the one speedlight, so I was holding it AND the droppers over my pan of cream with one hand and firing the camera with a cable remote. LOTS of pics, a few decent captures. Will it win? With the talent here, I doubt it... but I had FUN with the shoot, and that's the important part!

(Raynox DCR250 was used on the end of the 70-300 to capture this shot, which makes it practically impossible to get the entire macro shot in focus, even at f32)

The DOF feels to shallow on this. While the far edge is very sharp, there's just too much in the foreground that isn't. I'm not a stickler for sharpness in most cases, but for droplets it makes a difference.
