 It's hard to express how happy I am that this did so well. For me, this shot represented a departure, a corner turned, pointed towards what's next, whatever that "next" may be. This was one of the reasons I chose to use a line from the last verse of Neil Young's 'After the gold rush' as the title. This has been a very difficult year, and I hope this will signify that a corner has been turned.

I'm sure some will be thankful but this is probably the last shot I use from here...at least for a long while, anyway. I've used it so much and only wanted to submit another shot only if it was very special...and this, to me, was very special.

Thank you everyone that took the time to vote and comment. I appreciate all of it very much.

I love it when an artist expresses a clear relationship with their image, especially more when it is personally significant, and even more when they are modest and humble about it. Bravo Mark, I wish you he best.
