wow. and there is not a picture like it on the net. only one of the different coloured "seeds" at a more developed stage. nothing showing the river like stalks...
but your photo is a piece of lovely.

It's a palm tree composite flower, already starting to flower although it has not opened properly because of the outer strands that got crossed over.
Supposed to look more like this Palm Flower.

you leave me no choice but to give you a ten. it looks likes strips of electronic thingies wrapped in corn husks and bound, somewhat cavalierly, with a ripped fabric selvage of some kind. or maybe strings of dna hastily harvested to construct some future Flower of Mankind.
certainly an apron string to frighten offspring everywhere. |
