Absolutely fantastic! I kept going back and forth on your outtakes (which are equally wonderful) but great choice picking this one. The scene passing behind them quickly through the window gives the 'time passing by' illusion very well. I'm in awe of this picture (and the outtakes)
The camera you mentioned is fixed focus right, 23mm? Your subjects never seem to notice you when you take their pictures? In any of the pictures I saw they are all oblivious..

Know, please, that many months ago I had identified you as a very skilled photographer. On so many levels your work is inspirational to those of us who are still hobbling around in the "wanna-be" strata.
That you chose street photography as what defines you as a photographer somewhat surprised me because you have demonstrated your skill in so many other realms.
Yet, I wholly respect your choice because there is a craft - a magic - to this type of photography, and to execute it so effectively, so seemingly effortlessly in gritty Chicago is amazing to me.
Granted, I now reside in an undeniably rural area, but many, many moons ago I used to live in the Quad-Cities and often traveled into Chicago to "play." Despite the intention to "play" it was always stressful - the bustle, the detached f-you attitudes, the grime, the cement were always unsettling. Yet, you manage to capture the very vulnerable, very human aspect of residing in a very gritty city.
This is good stuff, but I'm not telling you something you don't already recognize.
Succinctly: keep up the good work. Kudos. |

Aghh yes the guy who loves to sharpen his photos to the max :-)
I don't know how you take these images without the people noticing, especially because we know the distance on a train is not that far at all, does anyone ever tell you off :-)
Looks like the end of the day returning home, the father has had another boring day at work his son sitting on the father's lap, clutching his toys, thinking about what's for dinner. |

| Great capture of a slice of life. These two zone out as they do their daily commute on the subway. B&W was perfect choice and compliment for this photograph. Well seen and well captured. |

I was in Manhattan on Sunday, riding the dubway, thinking of your shots, shooting from the hip.
I love the mystery here, were they aware? How could they not be? But so natural. You are part of the scene. |

| You do tend to find people who lack the happy sometimes. But perhaps they're just a bit tired from a hard day of play. What I do like is you always find something with a bit of a story to be had. Your train rides are a gold mine. |
