Challenge: I am the Walrus (Advanced Editing VII*)
Camera: Apple iPhone 6
Date: Jun 20, 2015
Date Uploaded: Jun 20, 2015

This image is me in a wide variety of ways. Of course the image has one of my all time favorite models in Aidan. This image was also shot on my preferred weapon of choice - the iPhone, and then edited solely on my iPhone with my now preferred editing software - Snapseed. I have left the eye candy far far behind and continue to enjoy the captures if life, which this one surely is. I am camping out with my boy and his Boy Scout troop this week. This scene is of my boy and some in his troop waiting for the leaders of the archery range to get off their butts and get the kids going on the stuff they need to do to complete their merit badges. The leaders were painfully slow and painfully arrogant - thus the slight look of boredom and despair on my boys face. All four boys whose faces are visible are part of our troop. This was shot with my phone on the table. No cropping (I don't do that much anymore). And this is one of my favorite images of the trip.

This is definitely a "you" kind of shot. I love seeing the kids grow up DPC.

Timfy, I love your kids photos! Are they just so used to you with a camera, that react to it so naturally (or better say, do not react on it)? It's so interesting to see them grow...
It's another great shot with an awesome feeling in it. Love the guy in the back, who looks like he's ready to fall asleep...Crop is super!
Whole scene reminds me the episode from "Moonrise Kingdom". :-)

Artful framing of the three main subjects. Looks like a summer camp scenario which must be fun.

A Day in the Camp Life - great compositional lines in this slice of life at camp. My eye travels a path from the boy on the right to the boy on the left and then the boy in the back between the two and under the tent. Black & White tones are very dynamic and excellently balanced. Well done!

You know I love you, Tim... but... THIS is NOT who I see you as.

I like the image... I don't love it.

If the DOF had allowed the background to have been blurred... so the first person I "really saw" was not the middle of the photo... I've have loved it.

Do you hate me for saying this?

*sigh*

You know I love you... *sigh again*

I WOULD love this and it would totally say "Timfy" to me.. IF... the background were blurred.

You know I love you...

Right?

That background...

the dominating foreground figures who refuse to engage the camera create a powerful effect of indifference. 8

My son used to get annoyed by me taking photos of him. He grew to know and to acknowledge this is a compulsion of mine I can't inhibit. I see Aiden is beyond this already.

What an eye you have. Your viewpoints pull one inside the heart of the image. Thanks.

Robert Capa said "if your photographs aren’t good enough, you’re not close enough.” The value of his thinking is exemplified in you photograph. Excellent!
