I went for a long drive to a much larger, more impressive bridge, but the skies were dull, flat and gray and, while it was a beautiful structure, I could not figure how to get a very interesting image. Don't you hate investing the time to get to a location only to squander it? You can't always count on beautiful skies or amazing light, but if you are good and creative there ought to be a way to get a few good images. However, viewing the shots of the big bridge later, I was disappointed in them and in myself. The next day, while driving around much closer to where we were staying I spotted this railroad bridge with some character and put on the brakes. I was a bit happier with this.
