Greetings from CC:
Hi crabappl3 Before I start congrats on your win this week. Good job.
Fits The Challenge-Yes.
Composition-Couldn't be better.
Background-N/A
Digital Processing-Needed more light and or contrast.
My Opinion-Nice find and a beautiful chunk of wood. The only thing wrong with this shot is that it's too flat, there's nothing to excite the eye.
Thanks for the opportunity to review your photo.

I like the pattern of the woodwork in this image quite a bit. The color seems to be a little flat and the contrast is also a tad weak. Whoever did the b/w version of this shot managed some excellent contrast :) - setzler |

This is the same door. I like the other one much better. Reminds me of the "Hell" road signs. I hope this is not the true color of the wood, becuase it is a very disappointing color. The photo has great focus and croping, but personally I dont like the color. |

Composition: Good
Technical: Good focus. Little dark and 'flat'?
Meets challenge: Very well
Overall impression: Nice pic, but slightly lacking interest? 6 |

nice composition and idea. I think it ccoould be improved with more brightness, less red and a tad of sharpenning |

Hmm, this door looks familiar :)
Sorry, but I like the black and white version I saw this same challenge more because it shows more contrast and therfor emphazises the structure of the wood much better.
To be more specific, I find this photo a little to dark and I don't think that the border is an improvement. |

Ok, so this is the same shot as the other door, but in color? The black and white version works better, IMO, it does a better job at bringing out the texture in the wood and the metal. This seems a bit too dark. |

You probably already know this, but someone else has this exact same frame in B&W submitted in the challenge. |

Nice shot. The color and focus are good. The only thing that would make it better is if you could have brought out the grain in the wood. Good Luck.. Cub |

Amazing, this picture is almost a duplicate of another door in this challenge. Everything on both pics are almost identical except for the grain of the wood in some cases. But the placement of hardware and even the nails and boards is almost identical! I think you and the other submitter must go to the same church, and you snapped the front door and he/she snapped the back door! Nice picture. |
