Critique Club Assignment:
Initial - Cool old building that has seen better days. So many contrasts.. the wood and brick, the rectangular and square shapes, and the long lines caused by the wooden structure on the top, and the built in signs along the front of the face. Old trees flanking the building. Doesn't hold my attention for a long period of time.
Composition - Pretty dead on shot. Makes it look a bit flat.
Technical - Great colors in the building, but unfortunately the bland color of the sky makes the image lose depth. I know you couldn't help that.. just pointing it out. I am wondering if this was taken too far away, as the details on the wall face look out of focus, and could be sharper.. I wonder if you would have had room in the frame at a closer position. Challenge was met..It is square.
Suggestions - Take it at a different time of day? On a contrasty time of day and maybe make it b&w? Dunno. Just thinking out loud.

Composition: Good
Technical: Nice focus. Maybe slightly dark?
Meets challenge: Not quite sure of the square
Overall impression: I love industrial architecture and this could have been my perfect pic. I'd have liked it slightly larger if poss, and improved contrast so I could see more. 7 |

| I love old buildings like this. Nice take on the challenge. The glare at the top is a bit of a distraction. Good color. |

| Beautiful old square building with square windows and square writing. This is a beautiful photo. just wish the sky wasn't so washed out. Can't believe the condition of the grounds with the condition of the building. Building being so run down. I really like the photo for a 7. |

| The green grass really accents the bricks. Good clearity. The building itself really doesn't give off a good square picture. I dont like the trees on either side. All in all the image looks good. |
