A continuation of the Oaxaca Travel with a modest taste of its renown food.
I am missing quite a lot of staple ingredients: corn, chapulines (delicious insects including ants and grubs from maguey plants), chocolate, the fabulous mezcal, cheeses to name only a few, but while I was looking in delight to everything I almost forgot to take pictures and the thought of a collection of shots for a theme was totally obliterated by the smell, taste, novelty, colors and the joyful, respectful and tenacious attitude of people towards food.

Another wonderful addition to your series. Again, the colors are wonderful. My favorite is your last photograph of the dog collecting scraps.

Hmm... menu, food, food, food, food*5, dog?

Then it made sense, Start, see, serve, scraps. Never mind what you wanted to tell me, that's my story.

Your inclusion of colours are still the combining string, it's a delight.

Your essay reminds me of the markets in Taiwan, where they also love their food. What caught my eye in this picture is, what appears to be, a small temple on the shelf behind her. This is also very common in Taiwan. A sometimes small and wonderful world we live in.

Be back later to finish my comment.

It's not easy pulling an essay like this together over a short period of time. When traveling abroad we often don't have enough time to fully absorb our surroundings. You did a nice job presenting what you observed. The last image seems a little out of place but does make a nice transition to "The Edge of Night".
