Thanks for the comments, people.
The glare I realised (unsurprisingly, it takes a lot away I think) and actually sat down and edited it out before seeing there was no spot-editing allowed in the challenge, so sent in the unedited copy. I spent a fair while trying to get a good crop, but unfortunately this was about the best I could do.
Was a fun picture to take though! So that's a good thing! :)

Like the use of the cat. A few more cans would have emphasized the empty cupboard. Nice overall. |

cropping could have made this a good pic. also, the glare of the flash is distracting. |

nice idea but the lighting does not quite work , the gleam is too noticeable under the cat and the image appears a bit too dull overall |

take desperate measures. I guess he will move on too new pstures cats being resourseful creatures, i do like your interpretation tho your pushing the bost out a little. BTW where does he keep the tin openener!!!LOL |

the crop could have been better IMHO and the light glare bothers me(below the cat and the shelf) |
