This is excellent. Trapped, I was, or I would have seen it before now. Sweet stuff. |

This is great! I love the guy reading the "Life Begins at 60" paper. What a story telling image. |

lovely street photography. Maybe it's the bars that continue in the fabric (?) that make everybody in this photo feel trapped |

This is such a static image, and the title seems to refer to way more than the bars and vertical stripes. In front of the divider the man's face is hidden by other printed faces and the woman looks like a mannequin. The people on the far side look only slightly less vapid. Terminal ennui has set in, abetted by the underexposed central area and the disintegration into heavy grain. Dextrous presentation of a mood that can be hard to pin down. |

Together but alone, separated by bars and strips, light and darkness, youth and age in a sea of grain. Nice take on the challenge. |

So close and yet so far - worlds apart. The bars are wonderful. |

A fascinating set of misplaced variables all trapped together. The grain works well here. |

Great capture, especially the woman on the right and the newspaper. I like the processing-softly blown high lights. |

Interesting urban tableau. The interesting-looking guy (?) at right is wearing a heart locket, and Salman Rushdie is reading the paper at left (and holding it so close he really should consider that SpecSavers deal on the back page). Can't ask for much more cafe theatre than this. Plus some grain for seasoning. Thank you. |

Life begins at 60, huh? The guy behind bars may not agree. Such delightful randomness! |

Some terrific and horrific expressions, nonetheless classic looking on the participants. I get the behind bars feel, but even more scary is the fact that they are trapped, equally, by boredom and modern frustration, not simply by a cell. |

Our privileged pair care not for his torment. They know they are better. It would be a crime against nature to move to undo the disparity in their lots.
A metaphor for the modern world. Well done. |

Brilliant! just the right amount of affectation and edge. The processing is perfect. A great tribute to Ubique. |
