This one definitely works for me. A Riot of Lines is what I immediately thought. You can just keep following them around the photo and it's fun to explore. |

A beguiling pair. The dominance display of the zebras is gently echoed by the branches in the foreground. The toning gives the image a timeless feel, and maybe the persistence of dominance too. The inter-continuity of the striping is also fascinating and thought provoking. The image seems lavish. I've enjoyed moving the screen up and down to make the stripes shimmer. |

The black stripes of course.
Or is it the white ones?
Before we know it, we also use our big headedness to bore(sic) our neighbours into the ground. |

Very "Ubique" tones and scene. I never realized zebras had beards, lol. Thank you for the introduction. |

That may be what they were doing - one exerting dominance - but it looks more like they're comforting each other. |

This doesn't look like dominance to me. Then again, I don't know much about zebras. But to me it looks more like small talk. |

Oh, here's a twist (for me). I'm surrounded by zebras every day, but mine are all Burchell's or plains zebras. These are something else; I think they're Grevy's zebras. Anyway, stripey buggers that I once heard a child call "pyjama horses", which I think would be a good official name.
I like your processing because it makes the picture seem like an illustration from a 19th century travel book (and I love reading those!) Given the vegetation visible this must surely be in a zoo, but if so you've done a good job making it look natural.
Thank you. |

I like the subject nod and the toning is perfect. |

Certainly Ubique-ish from his safari collection. Nice capture. |
