Now if this is not poverty then I don't know what is. Powerful image! 10 |

I like the composition of this, but the sepia is too much for me. Great photo. |

Perfect for the challenge. I am not sure about the toning though--seems to be "rose" colored. I think this would be more effective in regular B&W. Other small distracting details are in the distant background but interact with the foreground elements: the white object that seems to be coming from one boys ear; the man walking in the background between two of the main characters.
Still, overall, a very good photo and in my top 10 for the challenge. The boy on the left is a strong photo just by himself. |

good concept but a little dark on the faces. I also would like to have seen this in color and maybe a little tighter crop on the right, my eye is drawn to the branch |

Very real and very harsh picture. Accurately depicts an impoverished existance. Photography-wise, the landscape is nicely exposed, but the shadows on the children's faces are a bit too dark. |

sobering image, but I'm not sure I like the duotone color choice - it's a little too peach-y for my taste |

That's classic. Isn't it blurred a bit? Or maybe not enough contrast:? 8. |

This iamge definitely fits the stereotypical image most americans have of life in africa. if that had been all, I wouldn't have particularly liked this photo. However, the luster you've captured in the skin makes this one really shine (8) |

Very graphic, with an old time journalistic feel to it. |

It's just a little too pink, but great nonetheless. |

Semmes slightly OOF and need a tighter focus on the subjects. |

Nice image the poverty in it is clear only thing I would suggest is a bit more contrast to add depth to it. |
