Oh, I accidentally (on purpose) locked my little brother in the bathroom and he really wanted out, but he had to wait until I got the right shot.

No, I'm joking, of course. That's really me. Aren't I beautiful?

This represents the creativity, that I just know is in me somewhere, trying to get out of that square box that is locked away somewhere deep down inside of my gray matter.

Thanks for looking.

A very unique and original idea, great picture! I like the way that you have framed the person in the square and in that way you have met the challenge. Content is great, which absolutely makes the picture, quite an eerie shot, the whole person at the window thing is staight out of a horror movie! Don't worry, not too much like a pig! The image of the person at the window is pretty abstract, but there is enough detail to show the viewer what it is.
Technical
Lighting is good here, enough light to capture the detail of the face. Perhaps the lighting on the window frame could be a bit brighter, especially as the square should be emaphasised to fit the challenge. Along the same lines, the focus is a little soft on the window frame, perhaps this could be a bit sharper. However, overall I think that focusing is good, this must have been pretty hard to focus.
My Opinion
A very creative and unique approach to the challenge, it is a bit too nightmarish for my taste, but I can really appreciate the idea behind it. I wonder what this would be like in B/W. Hope that the creativity continues to be let out! Good Luck in the next challenge

Ah man, you got short changed. I really liked this one ... one of my favorites by far. Looks like a lost soul caught in a square. Ah well, you got a 10 from me :)

What a lovely bell curve!!!

Thanks all for the comments!

It really is a square. The pic size ended up not square because of how I cropped it. And the subject is the whole picture, not just the screaming lunatic, as you can now understand from the description, I hope. And there is no added border, it is actually a small window in my bathroom door, presumably for the purpose of being able to see if the light is on so you don't walk in on somebody using it. That is my face, but I really don't look like a pig, really, I don't, I swear, I'm not a pig, OK, and I don't have beady eyes.

That looks like "Help" to me. I read lips. Neat idea. Sure is different and well done. I especially like your build in border. Good job.

Ghastly by George! Creative talent here which gets big kudos from this corner. I like the texture rippled glass and the shadowed body openings. Even more dramatic harsh shadows, a more hellish red and gritty beat up smokey frame could further accentuate your terrific idea. Make it Dantes inferno. Good luck.

Neat shot, very haunting. It seems like the focus on the square is a bit off especially on the left. Good job.

It's a bit difficult to see what's going on here - it could have used a bit more light.

good subject, what is it???

This looks better in the thumbnail!! But it's not a square - it's a rectangle - and if your subject is the screaming person, then that's not a square either.

Reminds me of Pink Floyd, so I give it an 8!

I like the use of the frame for your square..the colors and view of the unheard person very dramatic.
01/29/2003 05:07:31 AM
you picture could have gone al lot farther, its to plain for my taste.
01/29/2003 12:45:33 AM
I think this photo would be much more interesting if I could see or at least suspect what's going on behind the door! Or am I missing something?
01/28/2003 11:39:18 PM
excellent. great idea. 10-martin

It's well framed, but I didn't see the face in the glass until I saw the thumbnail version while reviewing my voting, so you might have been better reducing the size a bit.

kinda reminds me of that pink flyod album...pretty cool

An interesting image, but potentially better with sharper focus. The softness of the frame and glass, especially at LR detracts.
01/27/2003 11:18:29 AM
Very Munchian.......or something like that "Scream"
01/26/2003 09:34:48 PM
ala Freddy Krueger

Wow, that does look eary like a screaming person behind the glass. What is it really? Very good title with for this pic.
