Challenge: Human Portrait (Minimal) II (Minimal Editing I) Date: Apr 1, 2015 Date Uploaded: Apr 1, 2015
|
The love of my life chillin outside on the deck after a long day's hard work.
I know this is not a "portrait", but this is a human LOL. Just had to play with my new camera and test out the 28mm manual macro prime lens.
The first challenge using the Pentax K-3. I was not so concerned about meeting the "portrait" challenge, so, I am expecting a lot of DNMC votes. It is OK! I had more fun playing with this little prime lens and my new camera and ya know what? It took me over an hr to figure out why it wouldn't even work because it kept giving me an error, I had to change an easy setting in the camera, but its all worth it. The camera actually beeps at me when its in focus! What a hoot! A huge issue I was having with the D60 with focusing and blurryness is now solved with a beep, I SO LOVE IT!
Now, I can start concentrating on the settings and lighting.
Not bad for a $35.00 manual lens huh :0))
I am sooo happy with the results, the only thing I did to this photo was resize it.. wooohoo!! I think for my macro shots I will need to do some focus stacking, because it seems to be soft a bit on the outside of the lens, which is not a big deal to me. The main focus area is sharp as hell and I did not even use the sharpening tool in lightroom or the smart sharpen in photoshop.
onto a new learning curve, so excited |
