A nice scene the colours are well captured. Is the misty effect natural or was it added?
The thing that first struck me when thinking of things that don't seem quite right was the horizon being right on the halfway mark, I think cropping most of the sky out would have helped the image. The next thing was the composition. The trees and shoreline on the right lead the eye down to the water and there needs to be something there for the eye to rest on. The trees that are there in the water are not a strong enough feature to hold the eye. The log? sticking out of the water in the middle of the shot crosses the division of water and land but not totaly and confusses things. I thing cropping and a slightly different viewpoint would have improved things.
Still a very nice image, well done. |

great atmosphere and scene. It looks like the image is suffering from some solarisation, but I still like it a lot. |

Nice balance between water and sky, however there is almost too much sky for me, I find the water and trees the more interesting aspect of the picture. |

Why are there so many beautifull sunsets in this challenge...
I like the haze on the water... |

Nice shot. I would have loved to see a bit of a tighter crop to put more emphasis on those dead trees in the water. The image also seems to be suffering from noise and you can clearly see arcs of transitioning blue tones in the sky. |

This shot is very close to being very good, I just wish the horizon was not so centered, I think if you cropped a bit off the bottom would be much nicer.

This is a gorgeous scene. I would really like this image much more if u crop out the bottom 25% of it. When you compose a landscape where the horizon is splitting the horizontal center of the frame, you really need to have equal amounts of interest on both sides of the horizon. The interest in this image is concentrated in the center horizontal portion of the frame. This image also appears to be suffering from some jpg artifacting, probalby from too much compression during the save process. It could also come from enlarging a smaller section of the photo... not sure in this case. |
