Jean-Jacques, thanks for 10+ years of inspiration.

C&O Canal Towpath near Fletcher's Boathouse. The melting ice on the canal is the last sign of winter.

Some artifacts are noticeable in the sky but overall I'm pretty happy with it. Probably would have been better to shoot at a lower ISO.

Handsome tonal poem. I like the utter white and black wedges jutting in from the sides and the highly detailed sky and rutted, puddled road from above and below. It's pleasingly asymmetrical.

I love what can be found in a winter road - a time of year when it can actually compete with the drama of the sky. Good composition of them both. Beautiful tonality and perspective.
