you can't beat baby shots when it comes to expression, but the rest of the pic lacks something.

Expression is spectacular. Blown out a bit on the left, but the visual message is strong enough to warrant a good score.

Beautiful portrait but doesn't really show poverty.

She is very cute and I like the B&W, but I'm not finding a connection to the challenge, sorry

Nice portrait....

Great portrait, good focus and haunting eyes, does not give me the impression of poverty though, more like sadness, but a lovely photo

she doesn't look poor. She appears to have messy hair but looks like it has been cut and the face is pretty clean. Let just hope she isn't poor but the eyes are trying to tell a story

This is a nice photo, but i don't feel it's about poverty. If i saw this outside of the challenge, i would never think this is supposed to associate with poverty. The girl looks pretty happy, if maybe concerned or amuzed by something. 5.

great shot, the eyes on this little girl really grap me. b&w was a good choice for this shot.

She's cute, but she looks

indeed this is a charming portrait.

From her face you can see she is either confused or sad or scared a bit. If there was more context it would've been very helpful. Now I can see a worried chiled, not the poor one. But it is a nice photo. Maybe you shouldn't have crop it so much. I feel a little bit more of air would've been better. 7 for a very nice portrait.

very nice look of worry to imply the theme

Beautiful big eyes of kid... and they already start to understand cruelty of world.

Amazing photo, her expression is very sad . 8

Great photo. Beautiful child, but there needs to be a little more context with the Poverty theme. 7.

She looks curious, not suffering so I can´t really see where you are going with this. The shot however is a great portrait, just definately not a winner in this competition but I bet it would have done great if it had been a portrait competition.

Great shot - adorable little girl
But, not quite a strong enough representation of the poverty aspect of the challenge.
10/27/2004 06:26:59 AM
Her expression is priceless. Just perfect.

More dirt and messy hair, and you would have had a winner! Beautiful little girl...
