GReat shot. The old tree and sunlight and the bikes are cool also. To bad someones legs got in the shot. any way I give it a 9 this should be in the top 3. |

The concentric arches and neat tree really make an interesting shot...way to go. 10 |

This looks like Rice Univ. In fact im 99% sure; I thought about shooting this for the nightshot challenge.
Swing over to the right under a tree you cant see in the shot if I remember right.
Nice shot :) |

tricky lighting here! I like how you chose not to stand in the middle of the archway. I assume the person sitting down is taking a break from the walk to class... ;-) |

beautiful shot. One of my favorites. Maybe if you had moved more to the right to balance the arches more closely, but that may well have not worked for other reasons. Not sure if the leg helps or hurts the picture... best picture I've seen in the challenge so far! |

Oh yes, one of my top five. I love the framing and the greenery at the far end. Beautiful |

Theres a lot to like in this photo but I think it needs to be 'straightened up' a bit. I also would have liked to have seen the whole of the first (dark) archway. It's a bit too cropped at the top for me. I do like the depth of field, and also the capture of shadows. |

I like the levels of distance in this shot. Shadows make the shot a little more busy. Maybe more diffused light would help that (though not exactly easy to control :) ) |

I like the composition of this. A grand imposing picture- I like it.
To be a little nit picking, the title is "The walk to class" yet the image shows push bikes and someone sitting down. This image would be better without these two and an image of someone walking through the arch/ across the arch

Nice place! I wish my walk to class had been this pretty. Is it me or is this photo a bit tilted?? |

This is one of my favorite photographs. The subject caught my attention and was sharp as needed in this photo. The exposure imo was good along with the contrast and I love the colors. A well-balanced photograph taken from a good perspective. Great photo! |

did you have to crop out the top of the arch? |

The only thing I dislike about the image is that persons leg jetting out into the photo. Otherwise its a creative use of the school and kids bikes. |

Nice study of educational architecture. Love the framing, shadow of tree, above lighting, and the bikes and sitting person adds a nice personal touch. A great entry. |

Beautiful shot, love that tree, great texture, love the lone leg, even the row of bikes, even the beautiful shadows, but the whole shot is crooked. And it would've been nice if you pulled back a touch to get the whole archway in the shot. Still, I like it very much. 7 |

GREAT shot, but I think it would have been better to include all of the arch. |

Beautiful. Lovely framing. Interesting subject. Two things detract for me: 1. horizon seems tipped to the left. 2. that pair of legs--need to see more of the person on none at all. Still, makes me wish I went to school there. |
