 I tried a few pics of my son and decided not to enter, then after playing around with this pic (was out of focus and generally not good) I came up with something that reminded me of 70/80's English school life.

Hopefully it'll scrape a 5

Damn! I used to fight with this kid. He lived across the street from me. Great capture! Just a classic look.

Great expression and framing. Only minuses are a little jagged from oversharpening (or downsampling for web, I suppose), and the sweater is too solid black, no detail in it.

Sharper focus would have made this better, but I love the expression you've captured. I keep going back to look at it and it always makes me smile. Wait til he's a senior...

Looks a bit oversharpened but other than that, not a bad portrait but hardly exceptional either.

Funny! Nice spoof on those awful yearbook photos. Honestly, I'm not sure it "represents education" as such, but there's a certain type of social education popular among the challenge entries. (That's for me to work out.)

Seems to be loss of detail in the sweater. Background is a little harsh. I'll assume it's intentional.
