I quite liked this Ammie, processed beautifully., the spirally shadows on the bridge slithering around ...but it didn't draw me in a make me think too hard. I gave it a six, could of pushed it to a seven if maybe the crop was landscape and I could see the lonely figure clearer.
I think you should be happy with your comments, hey you even got one from Don.
I think you'll be back though, enjoy your break, and see you soon. |

Having him in the shadows, on the edge of light, is a brilliant choice. |

Nice. Thank you for retaining all that wonderful detail in the highlights. |

wonderful use of exposure to get all the forms in light and darkness. the overexposed lightness has a magical quality. the forms pulled out of darkness also have a magical quality. the two magics create one spell. |

Commenting only: I'm having a bit of trouble connecting the title: where's the bridge? Or perhaps a metaphor I'm not getting from the shot. A bit of intrigue is added to the shot with the man...though he's not very salient here. I like the depth of the photo, though the BG could use a bit more contrast IMHO. |

This image evokes a sense of time very well. I like everything about it except for the fact that the railing behind him appears to be sticking out of his head. I wish he were one step to the side. Still, the play of light and dark is nice, the sense of nostalgia is palpable, the balance between the tree and the foreground post is good, and the photograph has an artistic feel to it.
