Colors, light, expression, detail are all great. Gave this beautiful creature a seven. I think maybe your guess is pretty accurate. 6.3

I'm not sure about this. DPC might not like the softness, but they might like the glow. I doubt it will reach your guess, though. Some voters will notice that the sharpest focus is on the foreground instead of the subject. They hate that! The main thing I like about this is the subtle composition, but DPC won't like that. This is a four from me and from DPC a 5.87

He seems a bit bored. I like the composition for the most part. Seems like too much blue in the shadows, and a bit on the too soft side. 5.8

Nice eye contact, involving out of focus area - I voted a flat six but I think you'll get a bit more than that from the rest of the DPC crowd. 6.45

You've under rated this by a bit, it has awesome lighting ,sharp focus,properly lit eyes, great colour, the only big draw back is the voters on this site for an animal in an open format challenge, but a 7.2 very least and I will give it an eight, with more cropped off the right side I would have given a higher score. this would have cut down the darker negative space and off set the head just a little more. I hope this does well for you Good Luck

With some more careful processing, I would guess 6.4. My estimate however is 5.98. I could be totally off too.

He/she is gorgeous and whatever processing you've done to make it soft yet sharp at the same time is wonderful. I find the blues in the bg and green in the fg to be competing a little with the animal, but still think this will ribbon. 6.78

Nice shot and beautiful bokeh. The face of the animal looks somehow "flat". It misses some depth. A 6.4 is maybe too high. I guess it will be closer to a 5.8

6 The components of the image are all beautifully presented. My quibble, what depresses my score, is that the cat's pose doesn't move me. It could almost be a seal lying on the beach. The direct gaze, however, is strong.
