Great overhead. Sadly, I think DPC will not appreciate the view so I predict a 5.2. |

That well-defined cloud shelf is fascinating - like a soft downy quilt being pulled back to reveal the pattern on the quilt below it. Giving it a six on a bump. I think your guess is low but not much. Predict 5.6. |

I like it. I think a bit more contrast and even some clarity would be good and give it more pop. 5.5 |

An unusually regular and rare cloud formation from above - I'd love to see in 3D which could be possible if you captured another quick shot. As is, your prediction is probably close and I'll guess a 5.498 if the voters appreciate the rarety of the shot. 6 from me. |

At first, I breezed by this (pardon the pun) but upon further inspection have discovered much to enjoy. Would like to see slightly more solid blacks... but only maybe. If people don't stop to look longer, you might be correct with your assessment, but personally I voted higher. DPC average: 5.69 |

I like these scenes live, but it's hard to capture them well.

I like a lot the clouds like the rising of the tides and the two diagonals of the composition. The lack of contrast might get you some points down
My guess 5.5 |

WOW that's something you don't see every day.
I like how you can see the clouds casting a shadow over the land.
I'm in higher than your guess.

5 As airplane shots go, this is not interesting except for the transition from snow cover to cloud cover. If the land portion were more fluidly or graphically appealing, then this type of image would, in my opinion, work better. |

The Almighty can create some dramatic scenes - wow! Glad you were there to capture this. The hard line of the cloud diagonal lends to the strength of the image. Personally, I would have cropped off more of the top - but that is, of course, a personal choice. Looks good in B&W. Hope you will share a color version after the challenge. It deserves better than your guess. |
