The house was built in the early 1900's , in honor of a niece of Porfirio Diaz, who served as president of Mexico for over 30 years, he remained in power until the Mexican revolution started in the 1910's , during this period the house was attacked and looted, it was then abandoned and never reconstructed. Today it is falling apart and under legal process to determine the right ownership.

Would love this to emphasize the building more. It looks interesting as heck but it's lost in everything else.

At first I thought the angled pieces of wood were an old swing set, then I realized they're holding the building up. Why I wonder ... are they planning of "saving/restoring" this place? Interesting.
