 I am flabbergasted. I did take this specifically for the challenge and I knew I wanted to take it the minute I noticed the building - which is right across the street from my husband's chiropractor. He had an appointment and then we had one together in town so I went to the chiropractors and walked and took pictures while he was in there. I did horizontal and vertical. Then I went in to get warm and wait and I reviewed what I had. The first horizontals I shot did not include the top of that bent cable to the right of the door and when I saw the verticals which did, I knew I had to go out again and get some horizontals that included it. I'm short so I had to shoot pretty much blind, holding my camera up in the air and aiming across the street when no cars were passing. Anyway, I got what I wanted and I like it okay but I've been astounded all week by the solid score. Thanks!

Congrats on the 5th place finish Nikki! The red door really contrasts wonderfully with the blues. Good behind the scenes story which illustrates the point of 'always have your camera ready':-)

a treat to see this on page one. the blue wall is a universe to itself; the red posts and door anchor us, almost alarmingly, almost vertiginously.

Well seen! Striking colors. The cabling adds a fillet (slip) of sorts which breaks up but actually accentuates the negative blue space.
