 "King tides" are the highest high tides of the year, occurring with a particular alignment and timing of the Sun-Moon-Earth relationship. There is a community effort to document these tides at various locations as a way to help predict the effect of rising sea levels. This particular set of images was taken about 14 minutes after the predicted time of the highest water. The deck of the pier is usually several feet above the waterline.

good use of leading line. the details and contrary colors are excellent. Lik used pano, not sure why the voters don't know that.

Very nice light and clouds here. It's really hurting for lack of more vertical pixels, though.

Great perspective and colors but I think the pano hurts this rather than helps it.
