 this is a laser passing through a glass pyramid sitting in liquid nitrogen. the "hair" on top of the pyramid are actually ice crystals

I like the lighting and the feathery smoke like strands around the pyramid. (Although I thought the feathery strands on top of the pyramid were a bit odd.) But I thought this was a perfect entry for the challenge.

I'm sure this will get some good scores (including a 7 from me as it is a very engaging image with good technical aspects), but this seems to be more about the prism and the smoke than it is about the actual source of the light.
