 I seem to be drawn to capturing what I call "underfoot" images, taken by shooting straight down. In this case into a narrow "valley" between two parallel, but different, rock formations.

While Adams is not primarily known for close up shots such as these, he certainly included them in his portfolio, such as Vine and Rock, Island of Hawaii, from portfolio one and Rocks and Limpets, Point Lobos, California, c. 1960 .

... and the roundish things are a form of seaweed.

This keeps my attention....
Love the abstractness, tones and details... not sure it needs a frame but that's just me... let nature flow. 7 for now.

What a great range in this image. My eye was sure drawn all the way through this shot and landed back on those interesting roundish things. (Are they roots, vegetables??) I am mystified but sure found this image enjoyable. And it seems perfect for the challenge.

I really like this photo, but it looks more like Weston than Adams to me. Still, it's well done IMHO.
