This little one room schoolhouse was built in Waterloo Ontario in 1820, and served as a school until 1843. It was then moved to its present location in Waterloo Park.

I was pleased to discover that I was able to open one of the windows on the schoolhouse wide enough to insert my lens and take this shot.

Coverted from RAW, exposure adjusted, noise reduced in Noise Ninja, used PS Shadow Hightlights to bring up shadow detail, increased orange saturation to warm image, cropped, resized, converted to JPEG.

I tried this in B&W, toned various ways, but kept coming back to this slightly warmed colour version. There's something about the old blue paint on the teacher's desk that I like.

I really like what I see. I would like to see more of the room. Maybe a wider angle lens.

good idea but there is too much in this image I would have concentrated on the old blue desk I guess therre may be some carving on it and the side light from the window would enhance this,.

a horizontal crop might have worked better here

Great subject. Decent lighting. It's still lacking a bit, for me. I'm not sure what. It may be the cropping. I think I'd like to see more of the room in a wider angle shot. I wonder if stopping down the EV setting (i.e., shortening your exposure time) would have heighened the contrast of the play of light and shadow on the benches and across the floor?
