My daughter, home for thanksgiving!! (although this is her halloween costume, which I was seeing for the first time. College really sucks when you're the parent, not the kid!! :)

It was such a fun photo shoot. She had a cool dress, I had purchased a couple of my first "professional" lights. And a kind DPCer had loaned me some others. It was a blast having a willing model and really cool lights!

Thanks for the comments. You're right about the eyes. I was paying too much attention to lights and head placement, forgot about eyes. (had just watched a posing video).

And as far as the nails…..

she does have a tendency to leave chipped paint on forever. We should watch that before shoots. :)

Skin tones are lovely. Although it is so dark the dress is hard to make out on my monitor.

Wendy. This image is getting a 1 from me, and here's why: you posted it on Facebook last week, prior to FS voting starting.

I am on FB maybe once a month and this pic was there along with three others from the same session. You have a whole ton of DPC friends on FB, as do I. But I don't go posting potential entries before entering them.

So even if you aren't breaking any *official* DPC rules, you sure are violating MY sense of fair play and level playing field.

Feel free to PM me if you like, but the 1 stays.

Wow, great light and fantastic image quality !

a couple of observations:
personally I prefer the angle of the eyes not being so close to the edge so not so much white is showing

The painted nails do not match the dress ... I think ...

Excellent job on the lighting your best so far I feel. Just wondering if you should of cropped it differently maybe, I don't know, waist up maybe.
