 This is a shot at night for the "Night Shot 2" challenge. It was a blistering cold and wet evening that night and it was raining slightly. I had to enclose my camera into a zip lock baggy. In that was challenge itself, trying to keep my camera from getting drowned.

Post edits info: Cropped, converted to black and white, added four color duotone process, adjusted the curves, some cloning of un-welcomed lights and objects in the background, and unsharpen mask.

I am glad to see you back around! I love this shot; surprised it didn't rank higher...but there were some pretty outstanding competitors in this one. :o)

I like the mood of this shot. I think the composition is a bit off though. It seems really heavy on the right. Perhaps a lower angle would have created the illusion of taller lamp posts to even things out. This looks very similar to another entry showing both sides of the street (I will have to look again), which made for a better comp. I do like the pattern of the sidewalk illuminated in this shot. Overall good job.

Half lighted street is nice... and lights too... but it misses something more to keep eye on.
