Ilike the sparkling wet texture and this color is perfect for night in the city. The composition works well tho the image is busy - the line of the street and cars leads the eye easily into the picture from the bottom, and the line of the roofs leads you in from the top - creating a nice "x"

Interesting color - is that a filter effect, or pollution? I love the narrow streets and will be interested to find out where this was taken once the challenge is over. 7

I like your idea but something about this picture is making me dizzy, I guess it's the angle of the buildings on the right combined with the leaning cars and the angle of the houses directly in front, just too much going on I guess - sorry

Interesting view. As a suggestion I'd propose to re-shoot it when it's not garbage day and converted in B&W this would be amazing.

this is nice but it feels like it is missing something, posibly a cat or dog in the middle of the street, that would be cool. i like the tone of it. it feels very quiet.

NIcely done, I like the "reality" of this photo.

I like the mood of the dark alley and the yellowish light. Beyond that, there really isn't enough to grab my attention for long. The cars add too much of a mundane element, detracting from the spooky quality, in my opinion.

I spotted this photo right away when I began voting. In my view, it is exceptional. It's not exactly your happy happy shot that might do well here. But it has a very strong composition. I like the busy top half juxtaposed with the empty bottom half ... sort of a life and death image. The color works very well. It feels late and lonely on the street ... like I'd want to be indoors where it is warm and bright. The focus and deep DOF is terrific. In the end ... all the technicalities are virtually perfect. But it's better than that ... it conveys deep emotional impact. My top pick!

Its good quality... but moust of picture its just cars and garbage boxes. Ok maybe it was intentional night life :).

Beautiful photo! I like the crop at the bottom, but it'd be nice if you had the ability to get more of the top of the photo in view too. The color is a bit too yellow, although I imagine the street lamps were pretty yellow. Is this how it looked to your eyes when you looked at the street? If not this yellow, maybe add a little more blue and cyan... just a tiny bit. :) Nice photo!

Great athmosphere. Good lighting. I wonder how it could be in B/W.
A human presence ( preferably a bum or a prostitute :) could give a higher impact IMO.
My favorite so far.
