 Still an active church; mass was in session when we stopped by. The mission was founded in 1736; present church completed in 1820; destroyed by earthquake in 1925; and restored in 1927 and 1953. The chalk painting festival there takes place over Memorial Day..... now granted, rain is very uncommon here, but I wonder if these drawings were from May, or if there was a more recent festival.

I thank you in advance for your 4 and 5 votes, and understand completely that this does not deserve anything more than that. I enjoyed the visit to the Mission just the same, and hope if you stopped back by after the challenge, you enjoyed reading a bit about it. Thanks!

This is an interesting composition. The ground mural and back of the car seem to have a subtext all their own.
