Great photo of a bird in captivity. Memphis zoo shot. Okay, but it is cropped to conceal all evidence of captivity. You didn't shoot this in the wild, nor were you required to do so. But, you offered a presentation that implies this is a wild and free bird. I accept the photo for what it is.

You've caught the stern expression well, the rainy or snowy weather adds especially those drops on his wing feathers, a high score.

Anyone who votes this portrait below a 7 needs glasses. Yes it might be a captive bird but an essence of the American Eagle has been caught here and in the rain no less.
