| Under appreciated imho. Gave it a 7. An open eye with catch-light would have scored higher at DPC, even though the flamingo is obviously tucked in for a snooze! Reality in wildlife (or nature as this may be) is of little concern to non wildlife centric DPC voters. Be careful also with overcompressing the JPG, there are jaggies/artifacts developing in the fine feather details. |

| Nice moment, and very cool looking bird. The photo looks a bit soft though, maybe the focus was slightly off or maybe motion blur? |

I love the focus being on the eye... right where it should be!
And I love the detail in the swirled up feathers (lower left).
This could ribbon with the blue (the composition is perfect) if there were crisp details in all of the feathers. |
